Thursday Night - Jewelry Show - Girls Night Out

Thursday Night (April 30) we are planning to attend the Kendra Scott Jewelry Sale and then have dinner afterwards at the Galaxy Cafe.

If your interested in carpooling or following Stephanie to the Jewelry Sale please call and let her know so she knows to wait for you. She sent an email to everyone giving directions to her house - if you did not get directions please email or call me and I can get them to you. They plan to meet at her house at 5pm to leave.

If you want to meet us at Kendra Scotts Jewelry Sale - the address is 3601 S Congress Ave. Suite B201 (off S. Congress about 2 miles past Guerros.)

If you just want to meet up for dinner we plan to meet around 7:15 at Galaxy Cafe (the central location) CENTRAL/CLARKSVILLE • 1000 West Lynn • Austin, TX 78703
(On West Lynn between 10th and 11th) FROM MOPAC: Exit Enfield and head East of Mopac. Take a right at the light on West Lynn and head South about five blocks. Galaxy Cafe will be on your right across the street from the convenient store.

Playdate Thursday, April 30th

Hello Ladies - We are planning a playdate tomorrow morning instead of a class. We wanted to hold this play date for those who can not attend the Jewelry show/dinner (GNO) Thursday night or if you wanted to attend both. So if you want to meet we plan to meet at Avery Ranch Park (the big one by the Tennis Courts) at 10:00 am. We would love for all of yall to come meet us there!

Family Events - May 2nd Weekend

Pecan Street Festival - May 2 & 3 -Sat:11am-10pm, Sun:11am-8pm, 6th Street , . 250 artists, five stages of entertainment including Music by Tommy Tutone, Bob Schneider, an International Stage, Magic Shows and Dance, Kids art Tent with free activities, Carnival and Food vendors.. Free Admission.

May Day Festival at Pioneer Farms -May 2, (Saturday) -1:00pm-5:00pm, 10621 Pioneer Farms Drive, 512-837-1215. Hayrides, music (including the Biscuit Brothers), dancing, gunfights, horseback rides, food and drink vendors, and lots more. 8th Annual Front Porch Days- May 2, (Saturday) -See website for schedule., 450 Haupt, Kyle, TX 78640, (512) 405 0159. Front Porch Days is a two-day, family friendly celebration held the first weekend in May that brings over 5,000 residents of Kyle and surrounding areas to Plum Creek’s Fergus Park. Activities include face painting, inflatable games, Jigglebug Express, petting zoo, pie baking contest, pony rides, washer tournament, and more. .

Lemonade Day Austin -
May 3, (Sunday) -All Day, Throughout the Austin Area, 512-431-7770. Lemonade Day is a free community-wide program designed to teach kids entrepreneurship through the power and simplicity of a lemonade stand.

Free Guided Hikes
-May 3, (Sunday) -9:00 am - 1:30 pm, Wooded Hills on Little Barton, 263-6443. The guides will begin this 4.5 hour excursion by leading the group through a dense woodland with large red oaks and flame leaf sumacs. Then, after exploring an open hilltop, you will descend to the limestone banks of Little Barton Creek. See the scenic vistas, fossils, native grasses and wildflowers with Travis County Staff. Ages 12 and up. All children 18 & under must be accopanied by an adult. Registration required. Pre registration is required..

Family Fun - Hill Country Flyer - ALL ABOARD!!!

Did you know Austin has a passenger steam train?

Ride the Hill Country Flyer

Soon after departing Cedar Park the train winds its way down Short Creek Canyon and crosses the famous timber bridge from the movie "The Newton Boys." From there the route crosses pastureland, through the quaint town of Liberty Hill and climbs into the arid Hill Country.

The scheduled arrival time in Burnet is 12:00noon. During the two and a half hour layover passengers can shop Burnet stores, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant or picnic in the park, and catch the Burnet Gunfighters shoot-out. The train departs Burnet at 2:30pm. Scheduled return to Cedar Park is 4:30pm.

April 23rd Meeting !

I hope everyone is enjoying the beautiful weather!

This week we will be meeting at Katie's house. We are going over the last chapter, Chapter 8 -The Beauty of Submission.

Brooke will be providing snacks.

Also please remember if you have a child that will be looked after by Kara to bring a dollar a child for childcare $2 dollars is the max after 2 kiddos.

Sweet Berry Farm - Family Event

Anyone looking for a family event? With the nice weather coming soon it would be nice to get out and doing something fun with the kids. I have been introduced to the Sweet Berry Farm. It is in Marble Falls (west of Austin.) Currently, strawberries are in season! Basically everything is free except if if you choose to pick strawberries then you pay by the pound.. You can also buy ice cream or popcycles etc..

April 16th Meeting

Hope everyone had a great Easter! The Easter Hunt at Zilker Park had a great turnout and the kids had lots of fun. We will be meeting at Kelly's house this week to go over Chapter 7 - The Rewards of Kindness. Andrea will be bringing snacks. If you have not signed up for snacks please sign up. Lisa sent an email with the remaining days left. There are only a couple of spots that need to be filled.
